Ta-Da!

Well, I've finally finished lining the purse. It didn't turn out too bad, if I do say so myself. Only problem was, I had to piece the lining along one side and the bottom. The material, which I got as a 66 cent remnant at JoAnn's, was thin and had to be doubled. But I love it. Love, love, love it. So knitters of the world, may I present my first lined purse and my fall carry-all.

It's lovely! I know you'll get lots of admiring comments when you carry it around. You're braver than me to line it...I've made a bunch of bags and haven't lined any of them, 'cause I'm too chicken as sewing is NOT my strong suit.

Really beautiful job. I have yet to make a felted purse that I would actually want to use (well, there was one but it was a gift). Yours looks functional and funky!

Fran, love it, love it, love it! I'm with Liz: I'm a sewing chicken but I'm thinking about that lining material you mentioned before, the plastic stuff, for my Rather Huge Noni Bag which doesn't hold its shape very well (but is gorgeous in color and handle, if I do say so myself).

Thanks, all. I'm looking forward to carrying it this fall.

Nancy, I remember your Noni Bag. Gorgeous. (And a good size for a tall gal like me, but that's beside the point.) Use some plastic canvas in the bottom to kind of give it a little "shape."
