World Series Sweater Done!

My World Series Sweater is done. Actually, it's the Bookworm Tunic from hipknits knit in Knit Picks' Shine Sport, a cotton/modal blend that's a dream to work with. I call it my World Series Sweater because the bulk of it was knit while watching the baseball playoffs.

This photo was taken right before a book signing I did this past weekend in Crested Butte, Colorado. Blue Moon Books hosted a fun signing to celebrate the release of my October American Romance, Marriage On Her Mind, the first of a new series of romantic comedies set in Crested Butte.

On the needles now -- a pair of socks for me, in bright purple! So what is everyone else working on?

I just finished the toilet paper scarf for my Da for kissmoose, and just cast on another pair of socks.

I have a (damn) shawl, a sweater for hubby, the second broad street mitt, and a second sock for me. I'll hopefully get the shawl finished, so I can really work on the sweater.

I have to ask, georg -- what is a toilet paper scarf?

Knittech, you are busy! Good luck getting everything done!

That's one beautiful sweater, Cindi. We started at the same time but I'm stuck halfway home because of my hand.

Going to B&N this p.m., so I'll order your book when I order Nancy's.

How is your hand, Fran? That must be so frustrating!
And thanks for the book order!

Cindi, I LOVE the sweater. It looks especially fabulous with the pink underneath--almost as though pink ribbons are threaded through the open work.

Many congrats on the new book. I'll be ordering it along with Fran. (And thanks, Fran, for your support of Music of the Night too!)

I'm back to knitting a cashmere scarf, hoping to get it done for a Christmas gift. One of these days I'll felt my Noni Bag and then it's on to the Quiviuk!

Cindi, that sweater is beyond gorgeous!! Congrats on both the sweater and the new book. I have to admit I had a second of teary nostalgia when I saw that it's an American Romance. I sold my very first book to American back in 1982. (Yes, 25 years. Yikes!) It was published as one of the 4 launch books in 1983, back in the days when romance novels were a huge publishing and financial phenomenon. We were sizzling for a while there. I can't wait to read yours!
