SOCK HOP - Day 14

Legwarmers. That's what Mikhail Baryshnikov needs.

I have nothing for you. Best Foot Forward #2 should be finished tomorrow or Sunday. I'm behind on my writing. Goldisox is sick and decided to share the experience with me. We tried to self-medicate with our favorite hot & sour soup but we're still sniffling, sneezing, and growling at each other.

Tell me pretty stories about yarn.

Or something.

(And if you don't know about our big Get Felted contest scroll down and read all about it!) (Yes, that's an order.)

I adore Misha but that's another one of those scary pictures you dig up from some Archive of Horror, Barbara!

Sorry to hear you guys are under the weather. Feel better soon!

I had a flu shot yesterday and am convinced the nurse thought she was throwing darts. Ouch! When she finished that shot, she asked me if I wanted the pneumonia shot. I said, "Yes, but not from you," and walked out of there.

Get well soon!

{{{{HUGS}}}} Barbara. Hope y'all are back up to snuff soon.

Leg warmer for Misha? No way. Cover up those gorgeous limbs? Not a chance.

Fran, the DH and I had our flu shots this week, too. Mine wasn't so much of an ouch at the time, but we both still have a lump and a bruise from it. No pneumonia shots for us though until '09. Yah! I've had my fill of needles the past two years, so one less is okay-fine by me.

Sorry to hear you're under the weather! Obligatory sock content: I've turned the heel and am ready to pick up the gusset on sock #2. I am really loving the Step yarn!

I will go to bed tonight wishing for you better health and for me house-cleaning fairies to come in the night!

What I want to know is how Barbara finds these pictures. Do you google 'barefoot celebrities'? Inquiring minds, you know.

I can supply a pretty yarn story to aid in your recovery. After going on a brief yarn diet, I succumbed to the lure of Malabrigo in the Mango colorway. It's the softest, most delicious peachy/apricot color you can imagine and Malabrigo it like knitting with pure velvet. I've even got plans for the yarn so maybe this one won't disappear into the stash, never to be seen again.

Sending good health wishes your way.

Archive of Horror!?!? I'll admit that the infamous Russell Crowe picture qualifies but I really like this one of Misha, Nancy.

I think he looks like he's doing a bad imitation of the Greek discus thrower while wearing an old-fashioned (and not very flattering) bathing suit. All it needs is stripes!

Nancy, well I won't argue the fact that naked would be better. (You didn't say that? Hmm. Where did I get that idea from anyway?)

Truth time: I'm so fascinated by his calf muscles that I don't even see the unitard.

One day remind me to tell you of the time my mother and I went to a ballet at McCarter and a little girl (loudly) asked the question you must never ask while watching men in tights leaping across the stage. (And yes it had to do with socks . . . )

BTW, if you didn't check out the Lucy video you should go to Wendy's site right now. She's even more gorgeous in motion.

You were right, THE Wendy. It's just what I needed.
