CLOSED Box o'Sox 2 Winner and a Warning

Step away from the screen. Get the hand sanitizers ready. Don't breathe unless you absolutely have to.

I am one giant germ factory. When you're too sick to even garter stitch, you're in the grip of something ugly.

But before I go back to sneezing, sniffling, whimpering, and whining, let me say hooray for Monica J, the winner of Box o'Sox 2!

Gotta run. My Nyquil is calling. I'll post another giveaway tomorrow but promise to handle it with rubber gloves.

Condolences on the crud! It's going around at the library right now, and I hope I can continue to duck...

The only comfort I can offer is that I have already gone through this and it does get better, in about 10 days. Its going around my house and my job.

So sorry you are sick, we have been sharing the crud with each other in our household too, despite the increased handwashing. I haven't dressed them in protective hazmat suits yet, though that may be in their future

Thanks so much for the wonderful contest.

Ellen, I'm not doing the Thursday night Writerspace; just the Wednesday. (I figure if I escape with my dignity intact on Wed. why press my luck.)

I slept sitting up on the sofa last night, looking appropriately pathetic. Goldisox was solicitous but I'm more of a cave-dweller type when I'm sick. I growl. I bite his head off. I want to be left alone, ignored but not really. (That's the hard part to explain to him. I want all the fuss and concern and would feel horribly neglected if I didn't get it, but I push it away with both hands just the same. Go figure.) I drag my chicken soup to the darkest part of my cave and wait for death.

Oh no! So sorry to hear you're sick. I've been exposed to the creeping crud 3 times by family members in the last 2 weeks. I'm wondering when it will hit me.

Take care of yourself, and I hope you get well soon.

OMG, NyQuil is your friend too. I've been living on the stuff for the last two days. I've even thought about curling up with it tonight when I go to bed. ;)

Hope you start feeling better soon.
