Another Box of Sox

Another grab box of sox yarn for one lucky knitter whose number will be drawn by the mystical magical RNG on Monday night around 9 p.m. ET.

If you're interested, drop me an email right here with SOX2 in the subject header and cross your fingers.

Good luck!

(The picture is for Caroline. I'll see your Very Bad Sweater and raise you One Heinously Terrible First Sock Experiment.) (It's enough to give you nightmares, isn't it?)

I laughed at the photo As for me, I am just knitting fingerless gloves out of poppy cashsoft. I am taking NO chances.

I think it's kind of sweet. Did you make the second sock?

I don't blame you, Caroline!

jellydonut, I didn't make a second sock quite like that one but I did use up the rest of that (terrible) yarn making my very first pair of real live made-with-dpns socks. The awful sock you see was the result of doodling with yarn and dpns, trying to make my hands do what the books were telling me to do. I just couldn't get the join going correctly or get the dpns in the proper alignment. And then suddenly it clicked and I was zipping along and after a few inches I decided just for the fun of it to follow the heel-turning instructions and then a makeshift gusset and then zip down to a sloppy toe. Et voila! A faux sock! And I still have it hanging up in the laundry room. It makes us laugh every time we go in there.

I'm new to this blog, and love it.

As you're all insearch f the perfect yarn must tell you what I just got. I received a wonderful yarn yesterday - so wonderful I sat and dribbled, oohed, ahhed, stroked, and rubbed it all over my face. It is Tilly Thomas, 4ply merino 80%,cashmere 10%, silk10%. I got a grey, it is so beautiful to look at and to feel I could almost cry. I bought it for socks, but oh my I don't know what to do with it now. If you have any suggestions please write them on the two label provided with Tilly Thomas as above (leave the yarn attached please so I know you have honourable intentions) any colours except blue or white. Thankyou.
