I feel so bad for him! I've stopped and talked to authors (and bought their books) who were sitting alone, hoping to meet a reader (any reader), as much out of admiration as pity. It's not easy to put yourself out there like that, even for extroverts, and authors are often introverts, so you have to admire them.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this video. It is so very true. That's why I always hand out free bookmarks. It gives me an easy way to make contact. It's fun to meet people that way, whether they buy a book or not. And it passes the time.... LOL!
