Full Moon on the Jersey Turnpike
We got crazy on Tuesday and made a manic eighteen hour up-and-back research run to Salem. Originally we had planned to do it -- well, last year to be honest. But life happened and we put it off until this March when more life happened and suddenly taxes were upon us and the book needs to be turned in but I still was desperate for first-hand info and chaos ensued.
Hence the up and back trip that right now, a few days later, seems utterly surreal to me.
This is a tiny peek at the end. We had planned to come home through Connecticut, along the Saw Mill River Parkway in NY, over the Tappan Zee, then happily down 78 etc. to home. Well, it didn't turn out quite that way. We relied on our Magellan. Our Magellan broke our hearts. We ended up on the Major Deegan, the Hutch, the Grand Concourse in the Bronx, the GW Bridge, and then trapped on the Jersey Turnpike near the Vince Lombardi Rest Stop.
Join me on another fun-filled trip with the Brettons!
And I didn't even get any knitting done.
