Who knew knitting could be so dangerous?

Take a look at this article from Newsweek about a librarian impaled by her own knitting needle.

The article is about why some people survive things like this and others don't, but it certainly made me want to be more careful around knitting needles!

Whoa! This absolutely blew me away! What kind of needles do you suppose that woman was using? I'll bet she finished whatever was on those damn-strong needles!

Seriously, I have ALWAYS had this attitude about life. When I let serendipity lead the way, good things happen.

Thanks so much for posting this link. Awesome!

Not only did I get out of that to take heed with my knitting needles, but that was a fascinating excert!

I sat on a pair of our neighbor's lace knitting needles when I was about 4. The sofa cushion was super-soft and I got nicked by the needle. Ouch!

Holy Crap! I was wondering how she would have gotten the needle stuck in the first place. Glad that I have mine in one of the leather Namaste bags.

Scary stuff! But a truly fascinating discussion of why some survive and some don't. I'm trying to cultivate the survivor mindset now.
