As a writer, may I suggest a shortcut software like SpeedType? You can type in an abbreviation like Ypoo and have it automagically expand to Yarnapalooza. I like it for long names like Annastasia or even William. You can even key in phrases you use a lot into a short formula and this will save wear and tear on your limbs (so you can knit more than you type). I use it for the medical transcription, but really, any frequent typer can benefit.
I was going to say that sock looked familiar... :p
