Devils update

I'm too depressed to talk about it: the Devils lost 3-2 last night in Tampa Bay. Add that to the shootings at Virginia Tech and our flooded basement and it was a terrible, horrible, no-good, very-bad day. Last night after the game, after the news, after the mopping, all I wanted to do was sit quietly and knit a few rows on my MIL's sweater. So I did and I felt better. Knitting is definitely good therapy.

((((Nancy)))) Cubs fans have a saying which you're welcome to borrow. "Wait till next year!"

Oh Nancy! I'm so sorry to hear about your bad day. I'm really sorry about the flooding. I've been working from home because I can't get anywhere near Westchester because of the floods. I hope nothing was ruined and I'm very glad you had a bit of knitting to help ease the pain!

There's only one good thing about a terrible, horrible, no-good, very-bad day: they are bound to get better.

I hope yours get better really, really quickly.

You guys are SO nice! You have vastly improved my mood.

Knitterary, I'm definitely going to borrow your Cubs slogan!

Kristin, we're still sorting out what's salvageable and what isn't. Fortunately, the furnace and the hot water heater are working. Yippee! A hot shower also cheered me up.

Bookwyrm, you have a point: up is the only way to go. I'll keep that in mind.

Knitting, hot shower, and a cookie...now that's therapy for the world's woes.
