GET FELTED - Day 1

***GUEST PET #1: That gorgeous girl over there is Samantha Belle aka Sammi. My parents found her waiting for them at the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter in 1999 and it was a match made in heaven. She made them laugh when not much else in life could.

Sammi lived with us for a few months after my parents died but then found a very happy home with a family a few towns over on Christmas Eve 2001. It was like one of those made-for-TV movies. (Someday I'll tell you the story.) Sammi took one look at their little boy Alex and forgot I even existed. Talk about love at first sight! She made it clear that her work with us was done and it was time for her to move on.

It was one of the hardest decisions we ever made but it was the right one for her. I wish I could tell you what she meant to all of us, the happiness she brought to some very dark times, but I just don't have the words. She deserves the wonderful life she's found and more. ***

Welcome to Day #1 of our two month GET FELTED extravaganza! Some of us bring lots of felting experience to the table. Some of us have two or three projects under our belts.
