Romancing The Yarn

Hey, gang! So happy to be here--thank you, Barbara, for getting this going!

I started on my first-ever felting project last night, a Booga Bag, inspired by the ever-amazing Fran Baker. I've been cross-stitching like crazy for a long time now--latest project an Advent calendar for my grandgirlies--but it feels really great to have knitting needles in my hands again.

And Fran, I decided to try bamboo needles, after all--and I love the feel of them! Don't know why, but metal needles make my teeth hurt as they rub together (nails on a chalkboard--eek!) and the plastic ones are so slick that I don't really like the feel of them either. But the bamboo...right now, I'm in love.;)

Well, here I am! Understand, I'm the kind of knitter who rips out one row for every two she does but my heart's in the right place even if my stitches aren't.

Seriously, knitting just has to be more relaxing than the five endless hours I spent updating my web site yesterday. What should have taken ten minutes turned into a disaster only a masochist would have found amusing.

Great to be here, ladies. Hugs to you, Barbara, for coming up with such a fun idea.

Ladies, I would love you both to death if you did a little cutting and pasting and transferred your comments into the blog itself!
